The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to your community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed about the higher quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to service the area each day. The services point established for intervention encounters a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it complicated to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to empower the servicing of all consumers and improve access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
